Product Review: 2001 Subaru Outback

I have had this old war horse of a Subaru Outback for 1 year. It is the first and best car I have ever had. It's been through many a miles and seen more than the most interesting man. It gets the job done and I couldn't be happier.

Pros:
  • Station wagon design gives room for activities.
  • All wheel Drive gets you where you want to go.
  • Fuel efficient compact car profile makes it cheap on gas.
  • Robust design makes it great to get messy and clean up. (Rubber mats everywhere)
  • Manual Trans increases fuel economy, and makes it more fun.
  • Forest green color is nature friendly and has character.
  • Bars on roof allows easy attachment of more accessories.
  • Low center of Gravity boxer engine makes turning super fast.
  • High clearance is great for dirt roads and snow.
  • Does not need chains.
  • 5 seats to take 5 people skiing.
  • Easy to fix on your own.
  • Comfortably Sleeps 2/Uncomfortably Sleeps 3
  • Low Key, yet packs a punch
  • Slow on the uphills... for the scenery
  • Subaru Community
Cons:
  • Leaks oil like a slobbery pit bull
  • Sometimes smells burnt.
  • Always dirty from weekend trips
  • Accumulates outdoor equipment
  • Everyone wants to take your car on road trips
  • Smells like an old sock
  • People don't know how to drive manual transmission
  • No sun roof
  • Needs tinted windows to sleep in urban areas
  • New clutch costs 1000 dollars
Miles since purchase 20,000
