Paris Metro Review

Concept: A network of trains that go short distances with many stops.

The Paris metro is very good. It gets you anywhere in a short period of time. It is also very clean. They are modernizing the metros to make them quiter, faster, and more comfortable

Cost: If you get a monthly pass it only costs 70 euros and usually your work pays half of that each month.

Best Use: The best use of metro is when you live very close to a metro stop, because most of your time is lost getting from the metro station to your destination. Also direct routes are very fast because you lose about 5 to 10 min each time you change trains.

Downsides: Sometimes it gets very crowded. It is also a bit depressing sometimes because you are underground and people do not smile too much in the metro. There are also occasional strikes, where the metro does not operate. Have an alternative method if this happens, or take the day off.

Tip: Bring a book, don't just do nothing on the metro. Reading will make a 30 min commute go faster than a snap.

Safety: Very safe for the most part. Just look out for pick pockets in very crowded areas. Also do not fall asleep in a metro station. People will come and steal all your stuff.

Overall a great transportation method.
