So spend less than you earn. Don't pay people to do things you could do.
For example:
- Bring your lunch to work.
- Go vegetarian.
- Clean your house own house.
- Cleaning your car yourself.
- Actually just never clean your car, wait for the rain!
- Try to get a company phone.
- Use T-mobile instead of AT&T/Verizon.
- Try to split internet subscription with neighbors.
- Don't sign up for a gym, just run and do push-ups sit-ups at the park.
- Offer people to pay you for doing what you are good at.
- Carpool.
- Always try to do something yourself before paying someone.
- Don't pay for education, there are free ones on youtube etc.
- Don't buy new stuff go to the thrift store, usually I find some cool stuff there.
- Split Rent.
- Live at home.
- Split a car with a friend.
- Buy a bicycle.
- Cook food instead of restaurants.
- Cheap dates are always the best ones. Paying for something expensive makes it less fun and too formal.
- Buy refurbished electronics
- Buy last season's sports gear
- Don't take out a loan from a bank, maybe make a deal with a family member.
- Be a Lyft/Uber driver for when you are bored, instead of watching TV. It will be more entertaining.
- Never watch TV, don't pay for cable or netflix.
- Have a side job as a bartender on friday/saturday nights
- Keep good insurance plans! do not try to save on this!
- Work overtime if you can/want. Wouldn't recommend though.
- Ask for a raise.
- Hang out with people poorer than you.
- Hang out with people richer than you.
- Don't click on ad that says "Mother makes 2000 dollars a week while working from home"
- If it's too easy, it will probably bite you in the ass very soon.
- Don't join a pyramid scheme like AMWAY or Herbalife.
- Tutor kids in simple subjects.
- Tutor adults in one skill you are an expert at - computers, language, fitness, etc.
- Count cards in Vegas.
- Learn Programming, it will be useful one day.
- Meet new people! It's through connections that you will make money. Staying alone won't help
- Don't follow the rules. They usually lead to you being taken advantage of by "the man" or "the system"
- Feel good, look good
