After college, your sense of money changes a lot!
I have a theory that the poor college student doesn't exist any more. With such easy access to loans and aid, you don't really realize you will have to pay it back, so you don't really feel poor. (maybe some students realize this while in school, but sadly... most do not!!!). So I think students these days aren't really the poor college students they used to be.... yet.
But the minute they graduate and finish the 6 month waiting period on loans, and are forced to accept a low paying job in order to pay rent and food and their car and their loans, they become that "poor college student" that they weren't in college. And for a long time, they have to live that poor student lifestyle without the benefits of being a student.
It's really too bad, but it is the reality these days!
