I have almost been hit by taxi drivers too many times. Whether it is riding my bike or crossing the street, I do not like the taxis.
They are pissed off, angry people. I would say that Paris restaurant servers are the most pissed off profession, but taxi drivers come in a very close second place.
Horrible customer service, high prices.
They are constantly going on strikes, and battling against uber like rivals. I hope uber wins. Taxis have a very strong union that has a lot of power in the government. So in battles with uber, they have mostly won. But the people like Uber, and the government has no power if the people are not behind it. So I hope that taxis will no longer roam the streets of paris in a few years.
