Byte vs Bit! What the heck is the difference!

A bit has 2 potential combinations
It is usually represented with a binary number. Usually this 1 and 0, or True and False.

A byte has 256 potential combinations.
It is usually represented with two hexadecimal numbers, that means two numbers that have 16 possible values. That means a potential combination of 16^2 which is 256.

A single digit hexadecimal number can be: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F
Usually the values of a byte go from 0-255. You count the 0, so you take one off the end.
