Wow, I may have been off the iPhone bandwagon for a few years (my last Apple phone product was the iPhone 4 back in 2011). Once that thing fell apart, I decided to give Bill Gates and company a try. I decided to be different and go with a Windows phone. It was cool the first weeks having something that few other people had. Windows phones are the least sold phone out of the big 3 (OS, Android, and Windows). But there came a price to wanting to be "different."
More than ever with the iPhone 6, I can quickly realize what I have been missing out on. Before I go into details I will mention that I got the grey iPhone, I put a silicon grey case, and finished it off with a shatterproof screen protector to protect it from drops.
A few things...
-So many more apps to choose from! The iPhone has an amazing app library. There is literally something for everybody. The Windows library was a complete joke. There were no official versions for popular apps such as Snapchat and Instagram. The Gmail app I had never permitted me to send a single email! I could only receive and view emails. Some other apps I had like Surfline, would always "crash" after a few minutes of use.
-There are some great texting/calling features. For example, the iMessage and FaceTime things are only available between iPhones. This is a great feature for making cheap skype-like calls abroad but with better resolution. Being able to send your "location" to somebody else is genius!
-The camera is great. I was not able to do panorama with my old Windows phone, which can be a useful feature at times. You can also throw the camera video in slow motion or instantly give your photos a "picture effect". The HDR option gives your picture that extra quality umph.
-The To Do list app is really well organized and easy to use. This list pretty much dictates my life outside of fun, sleep, work, eating, and exercise. So I want something easy to add/remove tasks when I am in a hurry.
-The email app is amazingly easy to use especially taking into account all the features there are! Very simple from the outside, but if you play around with the features, you realize there are a lot of hidden gems of tricks to discover in this feature of the iPhone!
That's it for now!
